Back from Phoenix a great time, more later. In the meantime, I hope everyone's already started celebrating Banned Book Week.

Along with a new line of iPods, Apple has unveiled these mighty cool-looking iPod nano ads. And their new shuffle has that brilliant "how did somebody not already think of this already?" quality.

cross-platform... madness!
So on Bram's aforementioned trip, he pulled up a number of websites including this one on a Windows box, using IE. Horrors! My friends and dear readers, please believe me when I say I had NO IDEA the page looked that broken. I test my CSS in Firefox, Safari, and IE! ... but on a Mac. I figured IE on Mac (since it's old, and discontinued, and unsupported) would be way touchier than or at least equivalent to the up-to-date PC version.
Yeah.
Well... I spent this morning fighting with the CSS and Blogger, so if you're not seeing something like this (it's a half-size screenshot), please let me know either via email or leave a comment. Thanks. And apologies to those of you who thought this site was supposed to look that way.

Returned from the business trip and the continuation to Baltimore Comic-Con. A great time, thanks to Raphael.
The RSS feed had broken, so I had a lot of catching up to do at the Mary Worth-obsessed Comics Curmudgeon, who last week pointed out a series of short films dramatizing the strip. It's wild, weird stuff.

Andy (among others yesteday) noted the opening of Geppi's Entertainment Museum. This trip I'm on actually takes me to Baltimore for a day, but I think we'll be spending our time at the Baltimore Comic-con.

Yesterday was the kickoff for Scott McCloud's new Making Comics and its tour which, frustratingly, takes him to a bunch of our old haunts in the Northeast (including the alma mater), but we're still hoping to get him to New Mexico.

Matt's been hyping some of the new things going on over at DC Conspiracy Webcomics. Andrew has taken over the art on Spadefoot and Mara has moved her Black as White over to the site. Meanwhile, Evan has been revealing more about the secret of the shoes in Ataxia Overdrive.

After Marc and I got to reminiscing about Jet Danger, Agent of R.A.N.G.E.R., he was good enough to dive into his long boxes to dig up, scan, and post the cover of his copy of Surreal Tales #192.

Yeah, Dave's right issue one rocked. I remember losing track and having to hunt down three and four years after publication. What a waste that was.
